FREE DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN THERE IS NO ASSOCIATED COST

I have been questioned by several people as to why they should spend close to $70 for a device that they could get for free. They say that there are several services online that offer health information storage for free...but stop and think about this...free does not always mean there is no cost associated.
This morning I spent several hours reading over several of the "free" online services privacy policy & disclaimers and I have to say there is no way that mine or my loved ones information is not worth the cost of $70 compared to the cost over time there could be. Not just knowing the possibility of someone breaching the site's security system...I recently remember several major department stores credit card system as well as the Veterans Administration's secured system being hacked into...but what I found somewhat disturbing was the online service admitting to sharing some information, not necessarily personally identifying the individual, with third parties for which they might receive monetary compensation for.
Also included in that long disclaimer was the statement that you use their service totally at your own risk and they will not be held liable for any "damages" to you or those third parties that compensate them.
Now...does this seem a little scarey to you...to me it surely does. Don't sell out yourself or your loved ones as cheap and opt to go with the "FREE" route...because free doesn't mean there is no cost associated. LIFECompass tm PHR is affordable and has no annual associated fees...protect your information by you having total control to who and where it will be shared.
